Offered here is the 2024 Omega Speedmaster “First OMEGA in Space” reference 310.30.40.50.06.001, a modern tribute to the Speedmaster worn by Wally Schirra during the Mercury-Atlas 8 mission in 1962. Featuring a 39.7mm stainless steel case and a distinctive grey-blue dial. Powered by Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer manually wound Caliber 3861. This example is New Old Stock from 2024, remaining brand new and unworn. It is offered as a complete full set, including the original Omega outer box, presentation box, warranty card, Master Chronometer card, instruction manual, hang tag, and all original accompanying accessories.

Omega Speedmaster First In Space
Introduced in 1957 as a motorsport chronograph, the Omega Speedmaster found its destiny in space. After surviving NASA’s brutal qualification tests — thermal shock, vacuum, crushing g-forces — it was the only watch certified for crewed missions, and in 1969 it became the first watch worn on the Moon during Apollo 11. The world has called it the ‘Moonwatch’ ever since.
This is that legend in its classic form: a 42mm hand-wound chronograph with the black dial, tachymeter bezel and domed Hesalite crystal worn on the lunar surface. Few objects carry this much history on the wrist — a genuine piece of the space age, still made much as it always was.
